Ranchod’s a mountain man Published: Monday, April 2nd, 2012  Alex Ranchod is in his second year of the Hospitality Management program. “Having grown up in the suburbs of Toronto, I am someone that is to be reckoned with,” said Ranchod. “I have a ton of ambition. I can be a hard worker when I choose to be, but I still know how to have fun. I enjoy staying active, chilling with friends and being the best I can be. I don’t judge anyone unless I know who they are personally.” 1. Why are you here? To do the best I can and graduate within the time that’s been given. 2. What was your life-changing moment? Hiking through the Rockies and reaching the pinnacle of the mountains in the sky. 3. What music are you currently listening to? Rusko’s “Somebody To Love.” 4. What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? My grandfather: “Never forget where you are.” 5. Who is your role model? My dad, Dino Ranchod. 6. Where in the world have you travelled? Florida and the Rockies. 7. What was your first job? At Za-Neo Inc. selling fine leather goods and accessories in a highend retail environment in downtown Toronto. 8. What would your last meal be? A massive steak and cheese sandwich with Caesar salad and poutine on the side. 9. What makes you uneasy? Walking in somewhere and everyone is staring at you. 10. What is your passion?
