Acting as the liaison between Fanshawe
College and the community colleges across the province and country, FSU’s
VP of External and Academic Affairs will represent concerns within
student lobby groups
during the academic year. Rachel is also the contact for students who need advice on academic appeals and concerns, as well Community Legal Services.

The Student Union VP Athletics for 2008/09 will oversee the
implementation of all intramural athletic events, as well as the school’s diverse varsity program. This year, Lauren’s duty as VP Athletics will also
include the Athletics Committee, which works in
conjunction with the Fanshawe College Athletic
staff. She will also be supervising the Falcon
Fanatics, a team of
Fanshawe students who
support the Falcons on home turf.

As the VP Entertainment, Jeff Burling oversees the development
and implementation of all social and cultural events on and off campus. In other words, it’s Jeff’s
job to make sure you are having a good time. Concerts, comedians, guest speakers or special events, Jeff works with
students and full-time college staff to ensure every student has the
opportunity to be distracted by from their studies. If you are outgoing and want to get involved, he is looking for volunteers for the Fanshawe Underground Crew (FU Crew) to brainstorm and develop
future entertaining projects.

VP Finance

The VP Finance has the general supervision of all the
finances of the Student Union and is responsible for all
monies and securities of the Student Union. This includes
insuring that all the Student Union’s expenditures, liabilities,
and overall financial condition are maintianed according
to generally accepted accounting principles The VP Finance
is also the contact person for the Student Life Educational
Fund and for the Financial Marketing Team.

The VP Internal Affairs is responsible for all clubs and organizations
under the auspices of the Student Union. The VP
Internal is also in charge of arranging special events, such
as the Info Fair and Awareness Weeks. The VP Internal’s
duties also include internal communications within the
different communities of Fanshawe. The VP Internal is also
the contact person for volunteer opportunities, the
class representative system and all Shinerama events.
