Student Assistance Bursaries
Fanshawe College Student Assistance Bursaries have been established by the College, in accordance with Ministry
guidelines related to tuition fees. These bursaries are available to students who have a demonstrated financial
need while in school. Both educational and personal expenses related to program study will be considered. Students

The Student Life Educational Fund was designed to help defray the cost of educational and extra activities that
are relevant to the students education. To complete a Student Life Educational Fund proposal, please read the policy document below. Then you must
print off, fill out and return the proposal document to the FSU main office, room SC 2001 in the Student Centre. If you have any questions, please

What is it?
In 1997 a decision was made that required colleges to
retain 30 percent of additional revenue from tuition increases for student financial aid.
Over 45 percent of college students in Ontario depend on
financial assistance from the government through OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program). Many others also
rely on financial assistance through other sources such as bank loans, academic scholarships, and parental
