GovernanceThe Student Centre (SC) is located behind J Gyms and is situated between the three campus residence buildings. It is a two storey building with over 40,000 square feet of space. The main floor includes the FSU Office in room SC1000 and the Oasis, a unique 300-seat dining area featuring a five-station marché food court and an outdoor patio. The second floor features the FSU Publications and Communications office, a variety of student lounge space, club lockers, two club meeting rooms and a Muslim prayer room. Alumni Lounge is also on the second floor, with a number of tables, chairs, sofas and four smaller meeting rooms. The FSU is proud of our student footprint at the London Campus and we encourage students to make good use of this space.

The Student Union Building (SUB) is situated in the centre of Fanshawe between Library Learning Commons and the Student Wellness Centre.
The SUB consists of the Biz Booth, The Gamesroom and The Out Back Shack.
Forwell Hall is part of the newly-renovated Innovation Village Facility at Fanshawe's London Campus. Innovation Village includes collaborative workspaces, multimedia labs, and much more. To learn more about this space, visit Fanshawe's Innovation Village page.
Forwell Hall is a stunning two-storey, light-filled hub of activity for students with additional student retail spaces and access to the extensive outdoor space through the surrounding north and south courtyards. The space also provides flexibility to host events, concerts, conferences and more
Fanshawe College was established and Robert Clark was elected as the first FSU President.
The FSU was incorporated on October 13, 1971. The FSU was the only college student union in Ontario to be incorporated, following the university model.
The Fanshawe student newspaper was renamed from The Dam to Interrobang.
The Student Union Building (SUB) was constructed, including the main office, multipurpose hall, newspaper office and Falcon's Nest variety store.
FSU President Mike Sharpe negotiated with the College for the formation of the Alumni Association and a student fee was established.
Office of the Ombuds was established.
Forwell Hall was named and The Out Back Shack opened.
LTC bus pass for students was implemented (transition to 12-month pass in 2003).
FSU took over the Health Plan from the College.
FSU Student Centre opened at Fanshawe's London Campus.
FSU's Bike Share Program was created for students to borrow a bike.
Student Wellness Centre opened in May 2017 followed by Booster Juice.
Innovation Village concept takes life and renovation begins.
Innovation Village construction began, to be completed in 2024.
Innovation Village, including the new Forwell Hall, open to the public on January 26, 2024.
